The Love Letter

She was their only child,very intelligent and obedient.Her Father found a love letter from her bag.’To’ had his name.’From’ was blank.He enquired about him without the knowledge of her.Though he earned well he belonged to a lower class.Her father disliked it.Her mother fed her favourite food which usually contained love as an ingredient.But this time poison replaced love.She felt something wrong when her throat choked.The next hour, her body was in the midst of people who cried hard.They showed it as a natural death.They thought that as sacrificing to safeguard the family’s name and pride.

          Two months later..

Her friend came to meet them with her wedding invitation.The father was shocked to find that ‘To’ name,in the place of groom’s name.Her friend told them how she helped her in writing love letters to him as her handwriting was so bad.

They looked at their daughter who was smiling in the big photograph.They heard the innocent smile asking,”Is death the penalty for helping her??”.
